Represents Prince Bush Smith Hotels, LLC in SaleMay 27, 2010: Moeckel & Co. is pleased to announce its exclusive representation of Prince Bush Smith Hotels, LLC in the sale of their leasehold interest in the Holiday Inn Historic District at 125 Calhoun Street and fee interest in the adjacent office building at 310 Meeting Street in downtown Charleston, South Carolina. The transaction entailed obtaining entitlements for a 50-room expansion from the City’s Board of Zoning Appeals and Board of Architectural Review. The buyer is an affiliate of the Noble Investment Group in Atlanta, Georgia. New Conservation and Limited Development Project Initiatives January 1, 2008: Bill Moeckel has been appointed chairman of the Advisory Board of Christiana Capital Group LLC, a Wilmington, Delaware based company in which he is an investor. The company specializies in Conservation and Limited Development Projects with Private Land Owners, Land Trusts and Government Conservation Agencies. Richmond and Philadelphia Properties Sold to Crestline Hotels & Resorts May 17, 2007: Bill Moeckel is pleased to announce that Crescent Hotels & Resorts has acquired the 224-suite Embassy Suites Richmond in Virginia and the 253-suite Doubletree Guest Suites in suburban Philadelphia from the Thayer Lodging Group for an undisclosed price. These are the first two hotels acquired by Moeckel on behalf of Thayer and the Lodging Opportunities Fund in 1995. Thayer Lodging Group Sells Eight-Hotel Portfolio July 1, 2005: Thayer Hotel Investors II, a private equity fund launched by Moeckel, Fred Malek, Lee Pillsbury & Gary Wilson in 1995, sold eight hotels to the Pyramid Hotel Opportunity Venture Fund of Boston. |
